The whole place, all to yourselves
Hillbrook is a nine-bedroom working farm estate on the Coromandel Peninsula — available exclusively for your group. For milestone birthdays, family reunions across oceans, and close friends who want somewhere genuinely their own. No check-in desk. No other guests. Just the house, the land, and everyone you came for.

01
Families gathering
across generations
The 70th birthday that brings the family home from three countries. Christmas that finally gets everyone in one place. A reunion that’s been five years in the planning. Enough room for three generations to be under one roof without feeling crowded.
02
Milestone
celebrations
The 40th. The 50th. The anniversary that deserves more than a dinner booking. Friends and family from across New Zealand, or across the world, gathering to mark something real. Hillbrook is sized right for it, and private enough to feel like it was made for you.
03
Close friends,
proper time together
Not a hotel weekend. A weekend where you’re actually present — where the conversation runs late because no one is watching the clock, and the mornings are slow because they can be. Something that feels more like a home than a venue.
Some occasions outgrow a restaurant. They need a place.
The people who come to Hillbrook are not looking for a hotel. They’re looking for somewhere that can hold a whole family — grandparents and grandchildren, teenagers and toddlers — without anyone feeling like a guest in someone else’s space. Somewhere they can make noise and make dinner and make a memory that lasts longer than the weekend.

7 or 9 bedrooms
The house alone offers seven bedrooms. Add The Stables for two self-contained suites and a total of nine — useful if part of your group wants their own space.

Indoor heated pool
Year-round. Morning swims, afternoon drifts, evenings with steam rising and no schedule to keep.

Private chef available
Arrive and be fed. A private chef can handle everything from one celebratory dinner to the full stay.

Farm & beach
Native forest, farm walks, restored wetlands, and a 15-minute track through pōhutukawa to a private beach.
“Our trip was truly surreal. We had our immediate families together from New York and New Zealand. Every one of us felt we were in a dream for our three-day stay on the property. I cannot recommend Hillbrook enough. We will definitely be making a trip back.”

A farm with a fifty-year plan
Hillbrook sits on 45 hectares of working regenerative farm, native forest, and coastline. The Tapapararoa Stream starts and ends on the property. Eleven hectares of new native forest have been planted since 2021. Wetlands restored. A whole-farm predator control programme running. The NZ Dotterel nests undisturbed on the beach.Guests walk through planting years side by side — 2021, 2022, 2026 — a visible timeline of slow, intentional recovery. The land is not a backdrop. It has its own life, and being here puts you inside it.

FAQs
High season dates — particularly Christmas and New Year — are often secured 12 to 18 months ahead. If you have a milestone in mind, it’s worth reaching out early.
Minimum stays vary by season: two nights in low season, three nights in high season, and five nights over the festive period. Contact us to talk through what works for your group.
Yes. We can arrange a private chef for individual meals or the full stay. The kitchen is also well-equipped for groups who want to cook for themselves — it’s designed to be the centre of the house, not a secondary space.
We’ve hosted families from the US, UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Switzerland, and Australia — many coordinated entirely remotely. We work directly with PAs, travel agents, and family organisers. It’s part of what we do.
Multi-generational families with children of all ages are our most frequent guests. The property is open, safe, and large enough that every age group has space — without anyone being separated from the rest.
